This is a striking 1940s era hat made in Montreal by milliner Flore Deschamps

He started his own millinery in 1962 and eventually expanded his line to include women’s clothing

The blanket is in very good condition with no pronounced wear

The piece measures 33” around and the wider links have a height of 1 3/8” - I believe that this belt should be worn on top of the hips rather than around the waist
